About Us
eEuro Inclusion portal raises public awareness and provides access to information regarding the importance of learning less widely used less taught (LWULT) European languages, while supporting continuing education under European standards of quality. In this sense, eEuro Inclusion portal paves the way for the creation of a European Portal as sketched in the European Commission's Action Plan "Promoting Language Learning and Linguistic Diversity" 2004-2006.eEuro Inclusion portal addresses the difficulty of communication that LWULT language resource centres are facing given the wide range of settings in which they operate and of missions which they assume. eEuro Inclusion aims to develop a pan-European virtual network of language resource centres for the less widely used less taught European languages.
We are 28 partners from 26 countries who have joined forces in order to make this a reality. In this endeavour, our cumulated expertise plays a crucial part. Our partnership brings together diverse and extensive competencies in all the fields relevant to the realization of our goal: LWULT language teaching, education and education management, setting up and running language and resource centres, working online within virtual networks etc. Another asset in our partnership is our collective experience in such Socrates Lingua 1 projects as Euro Languages Net (www.euro-languages.net), European Resource and Language Centre Network eLanceNet (www.elancenet.org) and Language Resource Centres (www.lrcnet.org).
